JOHN BROWN AND ANNE BROWNLEE MARRIED IN OCTOBER 1839 AND HAD 12 CHILDREN. .ANNE AND JOHN WERE BOTH BORN IN CALGARRRON FERMANAGH, IRELAND. THEY IMMIGRATED TO CANADA AND SETTLED IN PONTIAC CALEDON, QUEBEC.

Francis, married Margaret Hobbs. Their son Alexander Armstrong married Sarah Brown the daughter of John D. and Ann Brown. Thus the Armstrong side of the family begins.
