This family timeline traces the Grozelle family history from Medard Chouart des Groseilliers to Antoine and Anne Jane Grozelle and their children. Because Louis Fredrick Grozelle one of their seven children is our grandfather he and his descendants are also included here. The family of Keith and Pearl Grozelle and the generations that followed them are mentioned here as they are my parents.

Because you have seen the timeline that shows our relationship to the famous explorer Medard des Groseilliers I am now going to introduce you to Antoine Grozelle and his family,’ He was a child of Antoine Alfred Grozelle.
The marriage of Antoine and Jane Anne Johnston produced seven children who play an important part in our history.

CHILD NUMBER ONE
1892- Louis Fredrick Grozelle
was born in Detroit Michigan
- He died in 1971 at the General Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario
- He married Cora Lulu Farrell on September 4, 1914, in Haileybury, Ontario, where he grew up.
- Cora died on March 12, 1894. She died of an ear infection.
- They had four children-
- Richmond Louis Grozelle – Born June 27 in Haileybury, Ontario. Rich died in 1984.
- Keith Percival Grozelle– Born April 5, 1918, Haileybury, Ontario. Keith died in April 1984
- Violet Lillian Grozelle – Born July 27, 1921, in Haileybury, Ontario. Vi died in 2001
- Verne Grozelle – Born 1922, Haileybury, Ontario. Verne died in 1978.
CHILD NUMBER TWO
June 7, 1897-Violet Jane Grozelle was born.
- She died April 13, 1988.
- She married Alex Mosher born July 5, 1993, he died May 5, 1993.
- They had a daughter
- Corrine Mosher, who is deceased.
CHILD NUMBER THREE
1903 – Elenore Pearl was born.
- She died in 1955
- She married MJ Crisp.
- They had 2 daughters-
- Norrine Crisp born 1928, deceased
- Jacqueline Crisp deceased.
- Norrine married Bruce Connon and divorced him. Later on she married Alan Hingley.
- They had a daughter –
- Darla Hingley born 1963.
CHILD NUMBER FOUR
1905 – Percival Antoine Grozelle was born.
- He died in 1968.
- He married Mabel Corrine Sutherland in 1938.
- She died in 1973.
- They had 3 children-
- Betty Grozelle,
- Bill Grozelle
- Bob Grozelle.
CHILD NUMBER 5
1906 – Harold Alexander Grozelle was born.
- He died in 1975. He was never married

September 6. 1912- Dorothy Catherine was born.
- She died in 2001
- She married Fredrick James Best on August 4, 1938.
- They had two children –
- Ronald Leigh Best born November 13, 1941.
- James Fredrick best born February 8, 1943.
CHILD NUMBER SEVEN
1914 – Cyril Edward was born.
- He died in 1917.
- He married Margaret Elgins – born 1918 she died in 1973.
- They had one child –
- Linda Grozelle.

June 27, 1915 – Richmond Louis Grozelle was born
- He died in 1984.
- He married Florence Eleanor Sadler – July 26, 1911.
- They had one child –
- Dale Richmond Grozelle he was born on June 2, 1943. He Died in 1984.
April 5, 1918 Keith Percival was born in Timiskaming,Ontario.
- He grew up in Haileybury.After elementary school, high-school and The Haileybury Mining School, Keith moved to Ottawa and boarded in Louise Armstrong’s Boarding House.
- This is where he met and eventually married Margret Pearl Armstrong, Louise’s daughter.
- They married on December 14, 1936
- They had four children.
- Faye Cora Louise Grozelle,born on April 7, 1938 in Ottawa, Ontario.
- Calvin Keith Grozelle, born on December 16, 1940, in New Liskeard, Ontario
- Terrance Robert Grozelle born on March 8, 1945 in North Bay, Ontario
- Sandra Gail Grozelle born on September 21, 1948 in Sault Ste. Marie,Ontario
July 24, 1921- Violet Lillian Grozelle was born.
- She died in 2000
- She married Joseph Anthony Malick July 18, 1946
- They had 1 child-
- Stephen Anthony Malick born May 4, 1964.
November 27, 1917 – Verne Grozelle was born.
- He died January 27, 1978.
- He married Betty Mae Elliot August 29, 1943.
- They had 2 children –

She married Gordon Julian Smedley on November 26, 1960.
They had 2 children –
- Julie Anne Louise Smedley born May 19, 1962 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
- James Julian Smedley born June 10, 1964, Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
December 16, 1940 Calvin Keith was born in New Liskeard, Ontario.
- Calvin died in April 21,1973.
- He married Jean Margaret Springbett 1963. Jean was born on January 31,1942.
- They had four children –
- Christopher Keith Grozelle born March 27, 1964 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
- Chris died on April 21
- Lisa Grozelle born September 24, 1967, in sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
